Traumas of Abuse

Posted by Maria Certo on Saturday, November 27, 2010

Abuse is a horrific experience to endure.

There are different kinds of abuse.

There is physical abuse where the abuser performs violent acts upon the victim.

There is emotional/mental abuse where the abuser verbally and emotionally undermines the abused.

Finally there is sexual abuse where the perpetrator forces sexual acts onto the victim.

When someone suffers these types of abuse, an array of psychological and emotional problems are displayed outwardly as one walks their path in life.

Low self-esteem, lack of trust, fear of intimacy, depression, angry outbursts, self-loathing and addictive behaviors are just a few examples of trauma which result from these forms of abuse.

One's soul's journey takes on a lengthy process to reach for the truth of who they are.

How does one reach for this higher place within after suffering abuse?

Understanding why the abuse happened to you is the beginning of your healing process.

Abuse happens to others because the abuser seeks sensitive and gentle souls to prey upon.

Abusers demand control over you so they may gain power as they are in constant lack energy.

Powerlessness and Purity combined creates a match for the abuse to occur.

The dark attacks the light.

Therapy and prayer are the keys to unlocking all the pain that has been carried around inside of you so you may be able to heal.

When abuse happens, a dark blanket is placed over you to block you from emitting your light.

As this blanket is removed through the healing process, your true self awakens.

Your light begins to shine through each layer of pain that is being peeled away from your psyche.

As the truth of who you are begins to show up through therapy and life's experiences, a enormous release of pain unveils itself.

A deep awareness of who you are is revealed.

Loving and Honoring yourself  becomes your soul's mission from that moment forward.

Always, Always Love and Honor who you are!

You are your own Guide, Teacher and Healer for your soul's transformation into the light.
