Nurturing Self

Posted by Maria Certo on Wednesday, August 11, 2010

Nurturing the self is by far one of the most important aspects of giving love to your spirit.

Neglecting your inner needs creates moments in life where one becomes resentful and apathetic.

We feel resentment because all of our energy is being directed into nurturing others
and there is no time left over for ourself.

The lack of interest in self is depleted as precious vital energy has been given away.

There is nothing left inside to foster are own interests.

We are taught to believe that giving to yourself is selfish.

This is a non truth.

There is a fine distinction between being selfish and giving to self.

Selfishness involves the ego acting out which doesn't allow for generousity of love, listening or giving to take place.

As we gently begin to give love and attention to our spirit, we will notice a difference in the way we interact with our enviroment.

Nurturing your soul will rejuvenate your energy system and you will feel replenished.

The layers of resentment, apathy and frustration will peel away and the emergence of
self will be whole, healthy and energized.

Take time for yourself everyday to bring your spiirt back.

You will feel fully alive again and ready to take on the world.

Nurturing yourself heals a wounded heart, balances the
physical body and lifts the spirit to align with
your soul's purpose.
